![]() Modern Times: Now that we have hydroponics and factory ranch, convert them all. You can use the extra spaces to fill up with residential buildings/guard towers. Build 2 for each of the animal, 12 in total. But don't change/convert them to cattle now! Set them the same way you built plantations-best fertility for each animal. Set in that way the future cattle ranch will be able to boost all 4 Corn hydroponics. The factory farms require lots of corn so the hydroponics in the exact opposite of those two marked ranch will be boosted by the extra 10% manure fertilizer upgrade. ![]() Notice how the ranches are set up? We need to do it this way because we will convert the two ranches marked in the picture as Cattle factory ranch in the Modern Times era. This boost is even more useful when they are affected by hydroponics as the footprint is small so you can build them close together. We're building the ranches close to the plantations because we want to get the Green Waste Chopper boost from them. Settings up Ranches: Now set the ranches in the narrow areas. The extra space is needed for building hydroponic farms in the optimal way and they will be useful for residential buildings in the early eras. Notice that the plantation sizes are 6x9 but we've taken them as 6x10. This is the best bonus you're going to get from Multi-culture mode. In this way 6 plantation will get 70% multi-culture bonus, 2 will get 50% and the centermost will get 80% bonus. The most center plantation can be set in either direction. As for the center 3 plantation, place one in the opposite direction of the other at the edges. The plantation buildings on both sides of the height should face their opposite plantations. You've maybe done this before, but the method is to compensate for the crops to set them in a way so each crop gets the best fertility they can get inside this area. All the plantations must be in multi-culture work mode. Settings up Plantations: Now place a plantation of each of the 9 crops in the 9 short fields according to the best overall fertility. These short areas are obviously, for plantations. Each short 9 fields in the middle should hold a 6x10 field. These long areas are dedicated for ranches. Then plot the area using roads as it's shown in the first picture:Įach narrow road-enclosed places on both side of the width should hold a 4x32 field in them. So look for the largest flat space in your map, if it's blocked by existing structures/Palace then relocate/destroy them. I'm going to explain step-by-step how to plan it.Ĭhoosing Space: You're going to need a large flat space, a 32x34 field including roads. This layout is the most efficient and future-proofed for hydroponics/factory-ranch when it comes to Modern Times era.
